She walked to school this morning with her new neighbor friend. They’ve spent the last couple of weeks nearly inseparable and they get a long so well. Unfortunately they aren’t in the same grade, but when I think back to elementary and middle school, my best friend who “lived” close to me was younger than me too. 💕
So proud of this girl and all she’s accomplished and hope that she has an excellent first day of school!!
Also? No morning is perfect. Not even the first day of school. Just realized we forgot to put her glasses on, I let her wear flip flops, and I still have the summer work packet she worked so diligently on sitting on the table. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of how every day will be.
I’m also taking wagers on how long it will be before she remembers that long dangly earrings aren’t all they’re cracked up to be and takes them out. I’m guessing 10:00. 😉
