Loving the Chaos

Today has been a bit chaotic, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Averie had theatre camp in the morning, discovery camp in the afternoon, a softball game, and then her theatre camp performance. She played the role of Amazon Prime. (The irony is NOT lost on me). She did a great job owning her presence on stage and projecting her voice.

AJ had therapy in the morning, kept busy with Jill all day, tried to help Aaron fix our leaky sink (discovered we need a new garbage disposal), and then attended his sisters performance. He sat through a good portion of the first performance, danced along to the musical numbers, and only pouted instead of melting down when there was applause. A vast improvement.

Tomorrow, AJ and I are starting yet another trip to Philadelphia, hopefully only a week this time. Our gut feeling is that his airway is likely closing back off again, but we will see what they find on his scope and what Dr Jacobs thinks should come next.

Averie was given the option to go with to Philadelphia but ultimately made the decision to stay home — her softball teams tournament is next week and she wants to participate. She’s grown a lot this year in terms of playing, and I’m pretty proud of her for making that call!

And now… I’m getting back to packing. AJ was excited to go see his friends in Philadelphia and tried to pack himself earlier, and I haven’t packed much more since then, so I need to get a move on!!
