Eat that, Pulmonary Hypertension!

This little man absolutely ROCKED his cath today.

Going in, we thought there was a gradient in his aortic arch and he was going to need it ballooned.

Turns out, there was no issue, and no intervention needed. 👍🏻

At his last cath in Iowa his pulmonary pressures were too high at 16, 15 was the top range goal for the surgery we needed, lower was better.

This time, they were ELEVEN. 👍🏻👍🏻 Looks like the meds he’s on were definitely working.

The only item of concern is some valve regurgitation, which he’s had for quite some time and will most likely just need to be monitored closely.

By the time we were able to see him he was awake, and only upset because the rules say you have to lay flat for 4-6 hours after a cath, and AJ is not a fan of lying flat. He was even back on his normal vent settings.

To say we are overjoyed at this point is an understatement.

We don’t know yet what our timeline for what’s next and his surgery looks like, but hopefully we will have those conversations tomorrow so we can start planning to move forward.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the prayers and support. They have played such a huge part in this little boys life (and consequently ours). I don’t know if we will ever be able to say thank you enough, but this little guys life is absolutely a testament to the power of prayer.
