“We need to make a cookie cake”
At first I thought, okay, no big deal… it’s just giant cookies, and most of that is Aaron’s work…
“It needs to be a double decker, with buttercream in between”
Okay, so a layered cookie cake…
“And it needs to be Frozen themed”
Uhhhh… what??? I mean… challenge accepted, but for our first cookie cake that seemed a little extreme!
So we got a great recipe, and he baked up some delicious cookie cakes and then last night I freaked out. I’m not a buttercream kind of girl. The consistency is all different, you use different icing tips, it doesn’t “flood”…
After a few minutes worth of a breakdown, I got some mental support and tips and tricks from some cookie friends and this was the result! I was pretty proud of myself, so I’m sharing it here!
We won’t be adding cookie cakes to our menu any day soon – and we don’t sell character cookies/cakes, but I still wanted to share, because I was pretty proud of myself!
