by My friend Emily and I like to take girls trips. On these girls trips we have next to no specific goals, aside from to make sure we rest and relax.
We are just getting back from our last trip, which was to Cancun.
We did have a hilarious incident — I became “Mr Fisher” tonight. Emily and I stopped back in our hotel room to get ready for lunch and found a very apologetic housekeeping pair in our room.
Apparently when making the bed the maid managed to break my bottle of nail polish, which went all over Emily’s suitcase and a bit got on one of her shoes. We weren’t bothered, and told them not to worry about it, but they felt terrible and even found us at lunch to give us an update.
We were almost out the door to head to our dinner reservations when room service showed up with a letter for “Mr and Mrs Fisher” and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of sparkling wine.
Emily found this amusing and called me Mr Fisher most of the evening.
The strawberries were devoured, her suitcase and shoe went to laundry services to attempt to be cleaned (unsuccessfully) and I’m still trying to figure out how to file for a divorce, or at least take my own maiden name back….
My main goal of the trip was to relax. I think I accomplished that pretty well!
