15 Year Anniversary at Work

Fifteen years is a long time…

I’ve been at this company, by various names, since I was 23. That’s basically all of my adult life. I met Aaron here. I’ve made some of the most amazing friends and memories here, including traveling to various offices for training and support – meeting colleagues and making friends around the globe. Heck, I even got to take the journey of a lifetime on a sailboat because of this company. It’s crazy to think that this all started as a temp job, working third shift, loading up on caffeine and sugar to stay awake while feeding paper copysheets through a scanner…

I couldn’t ask for a better place to work for or a better team to work with. Thank you all for being your amazing selves. But please, no more sharepoint sites. For real.

Please join in congratulating Amber Gale on her 15th Anniversary with the Company!

In the variety of roles that Amber has played, over the years, you’ll see consistent themes: she’s a team player who is willing to dig into the details, extensively trouble-shoot and provide efficient solutions for our teams. No matter the product, system or process, her attention to detail and ability to problem-solve continues to help Hibu and Operations teams move forward.

Amber started her career in 2003, originally as a temp with Pindar, working in Specialized Input / Compliance / the Digital Support Helpline where she worked with customers and sales reps on trouble shooting and resolving issues with artwork, copy, layouts and electronic file formats for the print product.

She was promoted to supervisor in 2006 and Production Planner in 2008 where her focus shifted to investigating, developing and maintaining methods for collecting data on departmental and individual productivity and accuracy performance. She also oversaw headcount and production workflows in the US and overseas locations, managing resources to support ad creation and pagination needs for the shipping of ~1000 directories as well as internet-based products. Her ability to track, analyze and launch improvement initiatives made her natural for the Process Engineer position. (Have you seen her awesome Sharepoint tracking sites?)

Working in the Process Development area since 2010, as a Process Engineer, and Process Development Manager, Amber has played a key role in defining process workflows and standards for the implementation of new products and process changes. She works closely with Marketing, Vendors and Operations to implement these processes – including training and coordinating projects with our overseas teams.

Thank You, Amber, for your outstanding service over the years and Congratulations on your milestone anniversary! Here’s to many more years of progress together!
